I’m not sure whether giving this French guy the play of the day does anyone justice, especially for the NBA’s image, first PARKER BOY HERE TRAVELLED, even some noob well schooled in front of the computer would know that, and secondly, it justified the saying, “It’s the NBA, everybody travels.” and Parker did travel, good call Mark Jackson, that play screwed the Cavs, after that play LeBron was screaming for steps towards he referee, but the ref decided to hear and see thus do no evil. Cavs were screwed by that “Play of The Day”.

Gilbert did it, so Vince Carter decides that he would do it too, after three straight one point losses and buzzer beaters, now its New Jersey Nets turn, and how ironic it is, first Agent Z3ro did it against the Jazz, now its the Vince his turn, and boy Vince looks good…

and i seriously have a problem with all the people around saying Vince Carter has regressed and no longer a star player…what the heck? last i check VC is shooting better than the 43% he shot last season, he’s averagin more assists and points, 1.9 threes against 1.1, just because the Nets aint winning and he got voted out of the all star team in two weeks doesnt mean he’s not a good player anymore, in my opinion, he has become a better passer and he’s almost unstoppable down the low block, the past two games just showed how good VC is, 40 and 33, welcome back Vince

10-15,3-4 from three, 10-13 FTs, 33 points 3 rebs, 3 assists, and the buzzer beater, PotD no doubt, Vince

“The basketball gods had to shine on us some time”-Vince Carter

-notes
– Eddie House seriously needs to review his game, either he shoots the Nets to a win or he shoots the Nets out of it
– Marcus Williams had 12 points and 6 assists in 16 minutes, Cliff? 2 points in 18, and he played zero D…
– i wonder why Josh Boone isnt gettingthe minutes he deserves

edit: KG came in close with a 44 point performance to snap the 17 game winning streak of the Suns, but it had to be Vince

Finally…wooo, i love the look on Mark Cuban face deep down in the fourth quarter, talk about losing at the most inappropriate time, Dallas did just that, THEY finally LOST to the BULLS,

– we get to see Ben Gordon hitting his 1st 4 shots and Luol Deng going 3-4 including the 1st basket of the night,
– Josh Howard missing on his 1st 3 shots, and Dirk scoring 4 out of Dallas’s 6 points
PJ Brown scored on a running jumper from the line

– Tyrus Thomas blocking Dirk out of the house!
– Ben Gordon hit a pretty runner cum floater in the paint
Luol Deng had maybe 4 or 5 breakaway dunks including a steal and dunk
– Kirk Hinrich hit a big three

PJ Brown earned the PotD today for his performance down the stretch and his defense against Nowitzki 7-22 shooting for Dirk, and three important baskets down the stretch to bolster the Bulls fragile lead against Dallas

browning it out!

comment: well, actually the Bulls didnt play that well, its just that the Mavs played even worse, shooting just 31%, they shot themselves out of contention when Josh Howard was just 1-14 and dropping down to a 21-6 deficit early in the 1st half, but the Bulls show great resilience to hold back Dallas for the W, this would probably be Chicago’s highlight win of the season, and maybe kick start their push for the Central division title

is Amare Stoudemire triggering some heat right here? cos woo talk about new motivation for Agent Z3ro

“I did hear that they wanted to be the Phoenix Suns of the East, I think there’s only one Phoenix Suns, and we rest in the West. And that’s how it’s going to be for a while.”
spite me!!

Amare..Amare didnt you know that Gilbert Arenas scours the papers everyday for comments like this? next thing we know Arenas is gonna come out with a statement stating he’s gonna posterize STAT with a windmill dunk or whatsoever

but still, The Suns proved why they are the hottest team in the L, and the Wiz showed why the East are a bunch teams with loaded cannons that shoots without aim, Suns had the Wiz beat in the early going and never looked back, Steve Nash showed wy he’s a DOUBLE MVP winner with 27 on 11-13 shooting and 14 assists to earned the PotD yo!

– i know Denver are winning but the last 2 games featuring the Meloson show? the main player that bought them the win was good ole Steve Blake, give him some props! Nuggets overcome Jesus’s 44 to win 117-112
(edit: 34 from RUSTY Melo)

i blame today’s lost against the Kings as a fault of both Lawrence Frank and Eddie House, i have nothing against Vince Carter which in my opinion has not have a good game since who knows how long ago, we led by 20 at one point and in the we succumbed to good ole Mike Bibby’s yucky heroics. Kings win 89-88

i seriously wonder….

Lawrence Frank
– can he justify the minutes he’s given to Eddie House when clearly the man isnt producing with the amount of minutes he’s had on the court i mean 23 minutes only and he jacked up 16 shots? im baffled! he had a game where he made key shots down the stretch but hey hes not producing this time round so would you please?
– playing Clifford Robinson for 28 freaking minutes? that’s almost double the amount of time josh Boone is getting but their productions are almost the same, i hate to say this again and again Cliff Robinson is old, it’s time to pass the mantle yo!, obviously Josh Boone is playing better why?
– playing Vince Carter for 28 minutes…

Eddie House
– yo dude! if you know you aint hitting it then pass up the shot, dun shoot when you’re terrible shooting em goodness me

the Cornrow Parade
tonights the day where Carmelo Anthony comes back and we get to see the Melo, AI, and JR Smith triple team! and rightly so today’s PotD goes to Allen Iverson. WHY? well Melo had 28..but AI complemented Melo well with 7 assists and he shot less than Melo did and still had his fair share of points, Jr Smith is averaging 17.5 off the bench in his last 6 games,

u might have to click it to be clear

if this continues, Denver will be one of the teams to watch, but i think 3 or 4 more games into the big three, we’ll see how good they can click

Jannero Pargo..sounds weird? well he’s the starting point guard cum off the bench spark for the New Orleans Hornets and BECAUSE Chris Paul got hurt and so were David West, Bobby J and Peja, Mr.Pargo picked up the slack and shot 10-18 (3-4 from 3) and made all his free throws for 25 points while his team shot only 37% and BTW the Hornets win to bring themselves within 7 games of the .500 mark. 84-78 Hornets win in OT and thus Jannero Pargo wins the PotD

Jannero?

Yea i know T-Mac scored 45 but hey Dirk scored 30 and had a double-double and Dallas won, Ray Ray was dismal from 3 (2-10) and still beat the Cavs where King James scored 30 but Ray Alert had 11 assists, and Hornets doesnt always win so its just that the award goes to Pargo.
(edit: Jannero has a brother Jeremy who plays for Gonzaga)

Hooplah Nation is back after a day or so of resting, and how much action have we missed! gosh, Agent Z3ro lost while making some crucial errors down the stretch, Jesus had a career high 54 and the ghetto Boy had a season high 43, tons of action! Derek Anderson, of all people scored 29 on a 6-8 shooting from 3, Emeka Okafor had a near triple double with 20 ,9 10, the 10 as in a NBA season high 10 blocks, KB24 came up big in the fourth to lead the Lakes to a win after droppping a big one at Houston,

Steph didnt know he would get rejected

Andrew Bogut 20 points and 24 boards in another amazing performance after grabbing 18 the other night, Charlie Bell had 26 shots and 26 points, Earl Boykins had a double-double on his debut, but Willie Green scored 30 including a ferocious dunk (i’ll try and find dat video) on 13-19 shooting, Andre Miller shared the same numbers with EB Boykins 11 points and the same number of assists Philly won shooting the ball well enough 110-97

– Dwyane Wade too had a near triple double with 22,10,9 and White Chocolate had 12 assists in a comprehensive 118-96 W over the Warriors.

Marcus Camby had 24 rebounds, Iverson had 28 shooting 48%, but JR Smith shot only 4-17 as the Nuggeto team lost again , this time to the Rockets where T-Mac had his 2nd straight double digit assists game, Shane Battier hit 5 threes most of them from T-Mac passes, Rocxxxx win 90-86

Rajon Rondo had 23 to lead the Celts but Chris Bosh scored 27 and led four other players into double digits as Toronto beat the toothless Celts 95-86 to move into 1st place of the Badlantic division

Zach Randolph continued his All-Star calibered season with a 23 point and 12 board performance in the 95-87 win over the Kings, which was led by Kevin Martin with 17

Atlanta shocked Detroit 99-93 thanks to Josh Smith who came back earlier than expected from an injury and hit a BIG 3 near the end to seal the deal.

Ray Alert, Jesus Shuttlesworth had 54!

(note: Hooplah Nation will be introducing alot of new things soon, including the midseason awards.)
