NBA Finals Preview – The Chosen One ay? June 5, 2007

You know, so yesterday i saw this SLAM with the Suns on the cover or isit? anyways so there this guy (no not God Shammgod) Ricky Rubio, whom they marvel as the best player in the world or whatever, a phenom. And to top that, i had pizzas and ice creams yesterday, try topping that, oh well.

Speaking of phenoms, is LeBron james still a phenom? i think he has already exceeded that level rite? but watching a guy at only 22 performing feats of which, marvels almost everyone, including the haters, is definitely special, that’s why they are in the NBA Finals.

I bet right now Cleveland is still celebrating, and why shouldn’t they, i mean after all those years of suffering for the Cavs fan all over, Craig Ehlo, Michael jordan, you know… so it’s not at all bad if they continue celebrating, that is if they are intend on resting on the laurels and let the dirtiest team in the league run away with the championship.

The San Antonio Spurs..ah the Spurs, what comes to your mind the first thing someone mentions the word Spurs? no not dirty, wait, well here, the first thing anyone would and will say is Totenham Hotspur, so go figure, anyhow, the Spurs, i can’t say that they are good, because eventhough they are, i won’t say it out either, and yes i’m a hater.

Guards
Tony Parker definitely the quickest guard in the league, and definitely the most annoying after Kobe Bryant, Larry Hughes with a bad knee, and the Cavs have a troll at the shooting guard spot while the Spurs have someone who is maybe 90 years old.
Adv : Spurs, creaky knees, but they have a quick guard who gets tons of bogus calls.

Forwards
Bruce Bowen – LeBron James is going to prove that, no matter how good you are defensively, the better offensive player always wins, and add the fact that Bowen is dirty, i expect to see LeBron bruised and battered after this series, not by hard D, by some hidden knees to the body or whatever by Bowen, YA I SAID THAT! Drew Gooden can hit jumpers and make some flashy passes, but what he doesn’t know is, not everyday is Sunday dude. Tim Duncan the whiniest player in the league, and no doubt the best power forward, but come on, LeBron, need i say anything else?
Adv : Cavs, LeBron’s dunk over Tim Duncan?

Center

Anything or rather anyone is better than Francisco Elson, which means they have Fabricio Oberto, who fights hard for rebounds and can score, the downside for him is that he picks up cheap fouls, Ilgauskas on the other is better than Oberto.
Adv : Cavs, Europeans always beats South Americans, my theory, ooo peanut.

Coaching
come on man, Mike Brown knows defense, that’s it, offensively, he’s as challenged offensively as Jason Collins is.Gregg Poppovich is Brown’s mentor and three rings speaks volumes, Brown doesn’t run sets, that’s it.
Adv : Spurs, Cavaliers’ best offensive set? give LeBron the ball.

Bench
Daniel Gibson just raised his stock up through the roof with his Conference Finals performance against the Pistons, but the Spurs bench is one of the best around with some flopper leading the charge, Manu Ginobili, Cavs bench, other than gibson, Varejao, another flopper, and Snow, other guys are virtually non existent, save for some threes by Jones or Marshall. Spurs bench are stronger and that will be the key to which team wins. Robert Horry? define dirty, he has no legacy come on!
Adv : Spurs, the NBA Finals should have a new award to honor the flopping contest about to happen soon between Varejao and Ginobili. 黄湘怡台北卖巧克力蛋糕 月入超过50万
Donyell Marshall can suck my balls part 2
LeBron has the ability to takeover and so does Tim, Spurs have the better bench and an X-Factor in Ginobili but so does the Cavs in Gibson, but at the end of the day, i hate the Spurs, so….

CAVS IN SIX, YES BABY CAVS IN SIX!

My Prophecy is CORRECT!!
see, Cavs did win game 6, and the Nets did lose to the champions, Pistons suck, AND Daniel Gibson scored over 10++ points, call me the Professor please, Cavaliers and the Spurs, team vs player again, would be nice, it would be something like New Jersey – San Antonio circa 2003.

(edit: had my breakfast for abit too long, thus there isn’t a second half for the live blogging part sorry;) )

Detroit Pistons – Cleveland Cavaliers game 6, today is the night LeBron sends Detroit to somewhere near Lake Michigan for a fishing, Boobie is going to score 10+, GUARANTEED! did Rasheed Wallace guaranteed something?

– Wait, i thought Charles was somewhat anti Cavs? now he’s saying the Pistons isn’t good enough? oh well..Pistons are FRAGILE..

– Is Kenny Smith on crack or what? oh my god..Reggie Miller again, spare me..i hope Steve Kerr doesn’t go to the Suns, i miss him at Yahoo! do not panic, Detroit..

– What the Fuck? striped suit? light blue flowery tie? sky blue shirt, Craig Sager..enlighten me please, Antonio McDyess > Greg Oden? who looks more prehistoric? i’d say McDyess.

– Larry Hughes is starting again, for no apparent reason other than to lay bricks on the court, taco powder!! more!! i hope there’s no Donyell Marshall sighting today, i hate him.

– Opening tip, Pistons 2-0, Sheed..Mike Brown = boring, how many times does he need to start the game by going to Ilgauskas? he did it against Jersey and now Detroit, and his percentage of converting the play? maybe 20%

– sloppy start here for the Cavs, C-Webb and Billups both scoring, wow, nice pass by James to Gooden, Ilgauskas was certain he would get the ball, he’s dissapointed.

– Sasha = bad Free Throw shooter, and they are forcing the rest of the Cvs to score, James tripled teamed.

– Larry!!!….Hughesy on the bad knee..Rip and the face mask = bad omen, he should drop that.

– Pavlovic could not check Hamilton, and Pavlovic with the sloppy pass, and Pavlovic shut down VC, and Pavlovic stands for troll in Cantonese.

– Larry hughes is a bad shooter, check, he just hit another three..i’ll be quiet after the Sheed dunk.

– Pavlovic scoop layup whatever you name it, Ilgauskas converting on a tip shot, they credit Gooden with the assist for that?

– they need a timeout here, oh yes, they called it, the Cavs are getting abit too flashy here, yo Gooden, not everyday is Sunday alright, Billups 2-2 already, oh, but so is Hughes. hah!

– Pavs with three, and Craig Sager = fugly, Video Game James need to force the issue abit, don’t do a Jeff Green. McDyess flagrant alert! Let’s fight!!! who got the technical? owh, C-Webb and Pavlovic, Pavs’ a virus, something like a mini Ginobili and so is Varejao.

– James hits the tech FT, and jumpball Dice, Delfino just travelled!! what the heck? James again and the near foul, he’s definitely a better Free Throw shooter right now than he is before after he started to bend his knees.

oh Stevie announcing his new job oppurnity..Mark Jackson and Marv Albert for the next TNT tandem anyone?

– Pavlovic with the double clutch and a how bunch of players scrmabling, Gibson in the game! James with his 5th assists already, and Carlito hits, 22-21 Cavs

– Jumpball part 2 advantage Hughes, Carlito and one! hits the FT as well, 25-21, Varejao draws the offensive foul, Delfino vs Varejao 1 on 1 anyone? Gibson for threeeeeeeeeeeeeee, and the fould, nice one Nazr, why is he even in the game…Gibson 2-3, End of the first quarter, 27-21 Cavs.

– What’s the woman behind LeBron doing pointing at his butt? Sager again..ouh a malfunction or something? The Quicken Loans Arena = worse than the TD Waterhouse Center, and we’re waiting for tons of problems in the arena to settle…..

– Let’s go!! a shot clock less game 6, this WILL be UGLY..10 seconds,.. omg, a Donyell Marshall sighting and he shoots a brick.

– Marshall again for three? what the hell? Donyell Marshall with a defensive three seconds call, man he’s part of everything right now, Pistons misses the T. 30-21 Cavs, what? Sheed hits and whatever just happened, yes i’m blurr

– James checked by Hunter? haha, are they giving up? LeBron wow, ouh he missed the dunk, ouh james, to the line again, Sager shut up!! wait, oh okay, conclusion is, the Cavs need a new arena. 31-23 Cavs.

– McDyess is so damn good, Marshall is no match for Dice, come on coach Brown get him out of there, and he shoots another brick he’s 1-3 now, Jones another brick, Varejao behind the back and lays another brick for the foundation of the new building

– Jumpball part 3, advantage Cavs, another and one? man….Cavs need to clam down right now, don’t run sets, give the ball to Bron. Gibson and one! wait? it’s a charge? nope blocking foul, 34-30 Cavs.

– haha Prince, too showy there, Dice three fouls, C-Webb back in, Pavlovic with a smart play there, and hits both FTs.

– another late call.. there’s like 5-6 calls today that were made after the shot had been taken, is this a record or something? Kobe Bryant wants some love, yo mamba!

– Pavs another bad pass, and Prince going to the line, get LeBron back in the game dammit, this is ugly..LeBron is back, another defensive 3 second call? Doug Collins still thinks he’s a coach? Z right place right time!

Give Hamilton a T!!T!!T!!T!!T!! Bron no FGs, but has gone to the line 7 times, the refs have to call the game looser, let the game have abit of flow in it, they’re disrupting the flow with those calls.

– Gibson is injured and he just stepped on Rip’s knee or something, Bron has to score right now, the Cavs need the lead into the half. Pavs back in for Gibson, what the hell, alright he did touch it, good call then, i’m bitter

– When he drives, he’s unstoppable, sounds familiar ey? 9 FT attempts already, James statline update, 9 points, 6 assists, 7 rebounds, and one? again? yo Webb. You can’t say players step onto the court here at the Q, you have to say they stepped up onto the court because the court is higher than the bench, Terrell Owens sighting!!

– Hughesy! 45-43 Cavs, Gooden with another crazy pass, this second quarter is just plain ugly, i need a rest. Varejao cannot perform in the post alright? and Verajo just flopped, Tell me the connection between South Americans and flopping?

OH!! LEBRON JAMES WITH THE LEFT HANDED BLOCK! give Rip a T!! Hughesy make your FTs please! Prince scores 48-46, some announcer is smelling James’ butt, another Piston foul! Bron 9 points all from the line.

Half Time even at 48! i’m outta here for breakfast.

The two biggest news in the NBA right now? LeBron James exploding for what 48 points on the so called best team in the East, scoring 25 straight points and shattering whatever bullshit that labelled him as a choker, thus establisihing his legacy with probably the greatest individual performance by any player this century. I’m all the way behind Cleveland, no, it’s not because i’m jumping onto another wagon right here, and no, it’s not because James won my heart over, it’s because they beat us Nets, and any team that should win the championship? it’s a team that had us beat in the playoffs, and that’s the Cavs. I’m telling you, the Western Conference maybe stronger, but the East is way more entertaining, and yes, no one can stop James right now.
Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James dunks as Detroit Pistons defender Jason Maxiell looks onin the fourth quarter of their NBA Eastern Conference Final basketall game in Auburn Hills, Mich., Thursday, May 31, 2007. In Thursday night's 109-107 NBA playoffs victory in two overtimes over Detroit, James scored 48 points, including his team's final 25 and 29 of their final 30 points.
unstoppable…for the moment

After the positive, there’s always a negative, Kobe Bryant, probably the biggest virus, bacteria or anything bad in the NBA, demanding a trade from the Lakers, let’s do a little flashback here, I’ve never been a fan of Kobe and will never be, not when he dismantled my Nets in 5 games, and muttered some crap like “This doesn’t feel like the Finals”. Kobe Bryant doing a Vince Carter and whine his way out of town? Big question is, who would want, probably the biggest egomaniac in the league (ok, maybe David Stern is first) on their team? Yes, he is undoubtedly the best wing in the league right now, but that’s it, individually that’s all he is. Team wise, he’s a load of crap.

Ah.Yes, Vince Carter, the model for choking, probably spending time in Daytona right now thinking about the 9 three pointers he made earlier in the season, actually if he didn’t choke that badly in the playoffs, he could actually warrant a new contract, a lucrative one i might add. See, he set a new franchise record for three pointers made in a game, most points scored for the entire season, and is part of the double triple double game, made the All Star Game, and was named Player of the Month, that’s pretty good for someone in a contract year, but after the playoffs, 16 million sounds too much for a franchise player who scored as much as Mikki Moore did.

And back to the Draft, note that we only have one single pick, the 17th pick, which, i’m still not sure who we will draft, BUT, the team do not have a second round pick, which is a bummer, because i think in this year’s draft, there’s a big possibility that the second round hides a big number of gems that could be unravelled into the next Arenas or Redd.

Dowdell

Guys in my projection like Zabian Dowdell, Dashaun Wood, and maybe even Jared Jordan, have the possibility of not getting drafted, so it would be the team’s chance to pounce and sign one of them to backup Marcus Williams, which in turn would be a better upgrade than playing Carter at the point, Speaking of Point, this theory of mine, see before game 6 VC played Point Guard after Marcus Williams was dormant on the bench fighting his insecurities, and maybe that’s because he played that much on that particular position, he became stagnant or whatever, thus being useless in games 5 and 6.

Billy Donovan as Magic Head Coach, dull….shades of Mike Montgomery, Rick Pitino anyone?don’t be surprise if the Magic drafts Taurean Green with their first round pick, it could happen, and Jameer Nelson could rot on the bench, Milicic will stay in Orlando and be a starter, VC WILL NOT go to Orlando, JJ Redick will get minutes and eventually start, in the end, the magic will miss the playoffs and Donovan gets to sit on the draft lottery seat.

As crazy as it seems, how bout doing a sign and trade for Rashard Lewis??okay, maybe i’m just saying, and it would not happen either, we don’t have the parts the Sonics need, and Lewis hates Collins, kidding. BUT, sending VC to the Knicks sounds awfully good, look we’ll just take Q-Rich and the 23rd pick of yours how’s that? oh, throw in Randolph Morris too, and no thanks regarding the Francis swap, i’m having a stomachache here..

Alright, that’s it, i’m still in the barrier of not being able to write anything productive or good at the moment, but the Lokking Forward Features and stuff will be back soon, and I will still not spare people from having to watch Throwbacks of Derrick Coleman. Cheers.

yes, Derrick = gay shit

The 06/07 season for the Nets are over, but there’s still alot of things to look forward to, the Lottery, the Draft, all the BS surrounding the Nets players. There’s alot of things that the Nets need to address in the off-season, here’s the TOP TEN of my LOOKING FORWARD Feature.

10. Getting rid of Clifford Robinson

9. Evaluate the future of the likes of Antoine Wright, Marcus Williams and Bernard Robinson.

8. Shoring up the Frontcourt

7. Free Agents

6. Do we resign Mikki Moore?

5. What do we do with Lawrence Frank?

4. The Draft

3. Do we trade Richard Jefferson?

2. Vince Carter’s contract status

1. Jason Kidd’s trade status

I will be doing player evaluations, but it will be short and simple, i don’t think going long winded about how Jason Collins needs to improve his play, or Vince Carter is a choker will actually interest anyone.

I will too, be focusing more on the draft rather than the Playoffs, which in my opinion has lost it’s shine after the Spurs and Suns series, and throw in the fact that the Nets are out, the nothing for me to root for, however, i’ll be behind the Cavs and Jazz for two reasons, one is for the jazz to whip the Spurs’ dirty ass, the other is for Cleveland, who beat the Nets to win it all, therefor we actually lost to champs, not dorkheads.

Cleveland Cavaliers' Donyell Marshall smiles as he talks to the media after the Cavaliers eliminated the New Jersey Nets with a 88-72 win in Game 6 NBA Eastern conference semifinal basketball Friday night, May 18, 2007, in East Rutherford, N.J. The Cavaliers advance to the Eastern Conference finals.

Yes, this man hit 6 threes, this man shot the Nets out of the playoffs, the fucktard shot 6-10 from three point land, this man who is 6’10”, who can’t do anything but shoot, made 6 fucking threes. and that’s what kept us from game 7.

Ah, the season is over, and i’m officially in distraught, i still can’t believe we lost in such fashion, i mean the scoreline doesn’t really tell everything, we were very much in the game until Marfuck and Gibson decides to play long ball.

There’s alot of things to get done before the next season starts, Vince Carter’s contract, Jason Kidd’s possible trade, the draft, Nenad, RJ, Mikki’s contract, at first i would be very please to see Vince stay in new Jersey but after games 5 n 6, i’m having second thoughts.
