I’ll be putting up all the great plays that the Nets have this season, so it will be up to you guys to decide which plays are worthy of the Play of the Season title, if there’s some videos that you think are worthy enough and it isn’t here, hook me up and tell me alright?

Player : Vince Carter
Play : Buzzer Beating Reverse Dunk against the Bobcats
Difficulty : 4/5, He had to time his jump perfectly and anticipate the Kidd missed shot, sick play.

The ALL-NBA Teams are a Farce May 11, 2007

First of all, the first team, there’s nothing wrong with the first team, Steve Nash, STAT, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, and KB24, they did what they did the entire season, and got to where they are now, obviously Steven Nash, the double MVP, STAT, with his successful comeback, Kobe those scoring spurts, Duncan, being solid the entire season, and of course the leader of the best during the regular season, Nowitzki.

But the problems starts here, the 2nd Team, Chris Bosh, LeBron James, Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, Gilbert Arenas; Bosh and James, no troubles there, but Arenas? man he had a hell of a season, but the second team? you’d gotta be kidding, what about Jason Kidd? man, he had one of the best statistical season ever, and the Nets have the same record when compared to the Wizards, and T-Mac? and Yao? man, i know the choices are limited, but hey, guys like them missed tons of games, so how do you put this equation together?

and the All-NBA 3rd Team? joke. F Kevin Garnett, F Carmelo Anthony, C Dwight Howard, G Dwyane Wade, G Chauncey Billups. Ok, this, Billups should be here, because he’s repping the best team in the East, so he’s got his case, but Wade? what did he do? last thing i’ve heard from him was nothing related to the 47-35 record the Heat got at the end of the season. Garnett didn’t even make the playoffs, and Melo? let’s not start talking.

let’s see how many players who should’ve be here, Mehmet Okur, Carlos Boozer, Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion, Vince Carter. The Sports Guru from Fear the Sword noted that King James will be extra motivated on Sunday’s game because he got snubbed from the first team, which i think is what he deserves after apparently “coasting” through the entire season or so. But let me tell you this, the best point guard in the NBA right now (arguably), won’t be too happy about being snubbed as well, and the scary thing is, he has even started dominating yet.

Some Raptor fans told me before the playoffs that, Jason Kidd isn’t a good defender and the two pronged Lizard guard combo would smoke Kidd. Well guess what, Jason Kidd is an All NBA Defensive 2nd Team Selection, which would make it NINE straight years of making the All-Defensive Team, 1st or 2nd. So if anyone have a problem with his defense, look it up yo! and at 34 years old, that’s an amazing achievement.
New Jersey Nets' Jason Kidd passes the ball against the Toronto Raptors during the second quarter of Game 4 NBA first-round basketball Sunday night, April 29, 2007, in East Rutherford, N.J. Kidd scored 17 points and had 13 assists as the Nets beat the Raptors, 102-81, to lead the series three games to one.

The Nets are tops in the Lenovo Breakdown, having leaders in almost all combinations, all you’ll be suprised in the end.

Finally, i got something right, Corey Maggette wasn’t Sixth Man of the Year although he’s my choice, it went to Leandro Barbosa, Deron Williams didn’t win MIP, although i think he should, it went to Monta Ellis, Don Nelson didn’t win Coach of the Year, it went to Sam Mitchell.

BUT!!, Marcus Camby was my pick for DPOY, and guess who won DPOY, yes, MARCUS CAMBY baby, so we are 1/4 in our current predictions, and congratulations to Marcus Camby for finally holding a Defensive Player of the Year title under his belt.

Rookie of the Year : Brandon ROY
this one should be unanimous, and anyone saying Adam Morrison for ROY should be shot to death and cutted into pieces! Brandon Roy has been showing flashes of brilliance and playing consistently as well.

Sixth Man Award : Corey MAGETTE
8.2 FTPA in 30 minutes? all Leandro Barbosa does is jack threes, throw in 5.7 rpg in 30 minutes? good case right?

Most Improved Player : Deron WILLIAMS
16 ppg, 9 apg, for a guy thats 11, 4 last season? add in improved ball handling, and decision making plus Utah Jazz’s 51 wins

Defensive Player of the Year : Marcus CAMBY
9.3 drpg, 3.3 bpg, 1.2 spg, great defensive presence and not a bad offensive player as well.

Coach of the Year : Don NELSON
Sam Mitchell made a case with 47 wins, but Donnie Nelson broke the curse he created after 13 years, leading the Warriors back into the playoffs with a 42-40 record, most heeded tactic is “giving up” on the team halfway into the season.

Most Surprising Player : Matt BARNES
10 threes in 5 seasons, and suddenly KABOOM, goes off for 100+ threes. surprising yes?

Performance of the Year : Gilbert Arenas : 60 pts vs the Lakers
The Takeover, it all started here…

Game of the Year : New Jersey Nets – Phoenix Suns
161 – 157 3OT, one of the greatest games in history, and also a case for Steve Nash being MVP.

Least Valuable Player : Jason Collins
25 million in 5 years, for 3.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 30+% FGs, 40+% FTs, quite reasonable..

Most Valuable Player : Steven Nash
53% FG for a point guard? 19 ppg and 11.5 apg? outplayed Dirk in almost anyway in their Suns-Mavs match-up, 47% 3pt FGs, hits clutch shots, makes clutch plays, plus Dirk still doesn’t play that good to deserve MVP YET.
