Mile Ilic’s overdued stayed here with the Nets is finally over, hurrah for the Jenkins and the Hites; oh yeah so is Bernard Robinson’s stay, way to get traded when you injured huh.  add in some cash and Rod Thorn oved the over for David Wesley, who started his career with the Nets, from the New Orleans Hornets.

I’d say Hornets they need an inside presence like Ilic’s, he’s tall, he can block shots, make some hook shots, bah, just kidding, he’s probably gonna get waived or a buyout or sorts. Bernard Robinson could be quite a player if he could recover from his injuries he could be the defensive stopper Bernie Bickerstaff envisioned him to be when he was at Charlotte. So good luck to the both of you and hello David Wesley.

With that trade that leaves the roster set with 15 players, and with David Wesley likely retiring or maybe have his contract bought out, which means we still have one more space on the roster (that’s assuming Wesley leaves), Jared Jordan or resigning Robert Hite anyone?

Edit: Oh, btw, One thing I really respect about Wesley is how he wears Bobby Phills pants under his own (which means he’s wearing two shorts) in every game he plays, what a way to pay respect to a player who was one of my favourite players in NBA Live 2K, although he’s one of the reasons Phills is dead right now.

Yes, it’s true and it finally happened, ROD BENSON was officially waived at the expense of Mile Ilic, as of a few hours ago, therefore the ROD BENSON MOVEMENT 2K7 is officially DEAD. However, let’s not be too sad about that, because there’s always next season you see; Happy Birthday ROD, I can’t type anything right now because I’m still saddened by the waiving of Rod.

This is Mile Ilic smirking because he knows he can’t be waived. He’s saying “I HAVE GUARANTEED MONEY SUCKA!”

It’s Official And I’m Starting this alright, so hop on the bandwagon. I know the roster is full with Malik Allen signed through the veteran’s minimum, but dude, 15 includes Mile Ilic and Ilic is a walking time bomb, who knows maybe he will explode in let’s say 5 seconds after you finishde reading this and has his booty sent back to Serbia (SORRY DARKO) Which means, there’s always space fo one more right? MAN, THERE’s always space for one more character like Rod Benson on the team.

THE MOVEMENT OFFICIALLY STARTS NOW! NOW! NOW!
ROD THORN PLEASE SIGN ROD BENSON, I’ll be sending you an open letter shortly.

I turn around and one of coaches says “Dont put me in the blog.”

9. Evaluate the future of the likes of Antoine Wright, Marcus Williams and Bernard Robinson and the Bench.

Josh Boone, Marcus Williams and Hassan Adams, the threepicks from the 2006 draft, and if i were to rank them according to performance and potential, it would be Josh Boone, Marcus Williams and Hassan Adams.

Josh Boone played excellent in the second half of the season, it’ like every time he steps out on the court, i’m thinking alright, we’ve got a guy who can get us points in the paint easy, but the problem with Boone, and it’s a big problem that he needs to work on in the offseason is that he’s too weak, not weak, err.. he isn’t strong enough. There’s alot of times when he caught the ball under the basket and lost the ball because he got bumped or stripped, he needs to work on his upper body strength, and also work on his hands because he fumbles the ball alot, finally his Tim Duncan like FT shooting, going 7-7 a night and then 1-6 the other.

Marcus Williams started the season strong, even starting a few games alongside Jason Kidd, but his troubles played out in the playoffs, where he can’t break into the rotation and got only sparring minutes, with Lawrence Frank going to VC instead of Williams to back up Kidd. The problem with Marcus is, he handles the ball too much, to the point of over-dribbling the basketball, yes, he could get you plays, he dishes the ball quite alot, but he also tends the take ill advised shots, and he’s abit of a ball hog. He will also need to work on that jumper of his, because he has no problem going to the hole, he just needs to make shots and make opposing defenses honest with him.

Hassan Adams is one word, playful, he makes those incredible spinning layups that reminds me of a young Vince Carter, but he has no jumpshot and he’s undersized for the three, although he gives the team alot of effort, i really hope he could extend his range to the three and become a real lockdown defender.

Antoine Wright, is one of my personal favorites and he’s part of the Toine Watch in the old blog, he plays hard and actually one of the few guys in the team who actually focuses more on defense rather than on offense, he’s still not adept at taking contact around the basket and is a suspect with his jumper, he lost his job in the rotation after starting for RJ with his own injury, but he totally redeemed himself in the playoffs with his hustle and defense, and like i said before, he’s my guy to start at the 2 if VC really goes anywhere.

Bernard Robinson, one word too, GONER, we have a slew of swingmens in the team, and there’s a possibility of adding another in the draft, so Robinson here is just adding to the numbers, he could be a throw in for a trade or whatever, but caught sleeping an hour before game 6 isn’t taking you anywhere.

Eddie House certainly didn’t go down well with me when he was signed because i still think he was more suited to an offense that is, let’s just say not New Jersey style of basketball, he’s more of a run and gun shooter, a volume shooter, but over the course of the season, the team kinda changed it’s prescription and turned itself into a 20-25 threes per game team, that’s when House fitted in (although he did missed the early part with an injury), you can see how much’s he’s missed in the playoffs, i mean what if House was the man who shot those two threes that Boki missed in the Toronto series. The problem with him though, he shoots too much and sometimes he doesn’t do anything but just shoot, sometimes he shoots way too early and sometimes he forces shots, but that’s what he does, shoot the basketball.

Bostjan Nachbar, is one of the surprises of the season i must say, but again, brilliant in the regular season, disappointing in the playoffs, let’s just say Boki has the complete package of a guy who is the first man off the bench, he can shoot the three, he can take it to the basket and he’s 6’9″, but whether this season is a one hit wonder or his breakout season, we’ll see.

Mile Ilic, er……………….7’2″ can shoot from the outside, great shot blocker, soft and prone to injuries. e played in the NBDL but hasn’t really showed what he could do except for shotblocking. How well he does in summer league will see whether he stays in the team for another year or play pickup ball with Sun Ming Ming.
