Eddie House’s the first to jumpship August 2, 2007

Posted by netsophobia in Boston Celtics, Eddie House, NBA talk, Roger Mason.

yes, Eddie House has left the team and went for greener pastures, as in green jerseys, green seats and yada yada yada, everything green. Yup. he’s off to join Kevin Garnett and the Celtics, which, by the way, has suddenly become such a desirable place to play at and players are calling their agents to arrange a deal for them to deal them over to Boston.

For Bitter souls like me, Eddie House signed with the Celts for $1.5 million, the Nets could only offer him a deal of $1.1 million a year, anything more would have taken us over the luxury tax threshold, so if you are looking for any reason Eddie House is leaving, the 400k difference is the pinch. Dude needs to feed his family, man.

Well, yeah, I don’t see any reason why we would be worried about Eddie House leaving the team, although he’s the best three point shooter (% wise), he doesn’t really bring anything more than shooting the basketball, I’d said that before in posts long ago. What we ought to worry about is the lack of deals made by Rod Thorn and company, ya we complain when they deal too much, and yet we complain when they don’t deal, we need a status quo here.

Which brings us to the question, who are we going to sign in order to fill the combo guard spot, we needed a point guard before House left, but now we need a point guard and a shooter, best is we could have both in one, The thing is, they’re looking at signing Roger Mason, ROGER FUCKING MASON! GOD.

hmm.. what can I say? Fear the Lottery? anyway, who’s next? PJ brown?

PJ Brown is too expensive right now. He’s asking for the full mid-level exception and there’s no way we’ll be able to pay that much. I guess our #1 target right now is the one and only Dikembe Mutumbo!!!!

ah yes…Deke…he’s good enough to still start for the Celtics I think.

If we get him, he’d back up Kendrick “The Enforcer” Perkins.
