This game will be best remembered for the records the New Jersey Nets set, rather than the brilliant play and determination shown by the Wizards, Vince Carter and Jason Kidd became the first players to achieve double triple doubles since MJ and Pippen in 1989? check, Vince Carter had a career high in rebounds? check, Richard Jefferson had a career high in threes made? check, New Jersey had a new franchise record in three pointers made? check, Jason Kidd with his eleventh triple double of the season? check.
New Jersey Nets' Vince Carter (15) comes down with the ball over Washington Wizards' Etan Thomas during fourth quarter NBA basketball Saturday night, April 7, 2007, in East Rutherford, N.J. Carter had a triple-double (46 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists) as the Nets beat the Wizards, 120-114, in overtime.

The stats are right there but still it isn’t that satisfying of a win to be satisfied about, i mean yea the team shot 52% from the floor, but heck they took too many threes for my reckoning, yea they are making them, but this team is too athletic to be taking 36 threes in a game, Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter combined for 21 attempts, when they should have been attacking the basket more than they did, VC had 13 three point attempts and only nine FTs tried, and Jason Kidd going 1-6? he’s got to start realising that he’s better off taking jumpers inside the arc; The Turnovers? let’s not talk about it shall we?

Mikki Moore could have filled the stat sheet but no, he decided that he’s too good to be shooting 6-8 from the FT line so he decides to rim a few attempts and end up with 3-8, thank heavens, VC grabbed the offensive board and made things count, if not this post would have been even bitter, and what happened to the bench? this just made me noticed that Lawrence Frank is a weird coach, he mimics what the opposing coaches does, he’s a MIMICKING coach, just like how he followed Scott Skiles into starting a small line-up, and just like how he follow Eddie Jordan and let the Big Three played over 40 minutes, didn’t he realized that Jason Collins is ineffective? It took him almost 75 games to figure that out and now he’s back at it again, hasn’t Josh Boone’s emergence as of late not enough of a sign to show that Jason should not be playing?

The Big Three should what they could really do when healthy, and this is by far the most complete performance by them, other than the TOs and overshooting three pointers, if they playing like this for the rest of the season, the ray of light shining over our post-season hopes could actually get shinier, and kay, other than that appaling FT shooting, Mikki Moore was excellent.

I figured out that if the Nets could beat Washington at the VC again in the next game, then the team can seriously go on a run and chase the no.6 seed, but that is if we beat them, like i said, a wounded team is always the most dangerous team, they showed it to us tonight, we were lucky to out rebound and play fairly better than them for the win.
