Washington Wizards 39-36

difficult times lie ahead Antawn….

The most dangerous team for any team to face is a team without all their top players, a wounded team, because it would be a game where the opposing team would give their all and strive for the W. The Nets face a Wizards team without, maybe the most enigmatic player in the NBA, Gilbert Arenas, and their second best player Caron Butler, so that’s roughly about 46 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals gone for the Wiz.

But still the Wizards are by no means a weak team, Antonio Daniels racked up 29 assists in his last 2 games, and suddenly Etan Thomas has emerged as a force down low after he dislodged Brendan Haywood, so they are still a team to be reckoned with.

The lack of a Go To Guy will definitely hurt the Wizards, just like how it happened during the Cavaliers game, Antawn Jamison are so used to becoming Gilbert Arenas’ running mate and defer to him to make those clutch plays in close games, therefore if it’s a close game, it’s advantage New Jersey.

I bet my breakfast that Lawrence Frank will go to a small lineup again today, it didn’t work against Chicago but i think it will against Washington, Jamison is a guy who shoots more outside jumpers now and having Antoine Wright (i prefer Nachbar starting at PF though) on him would be better rather than Mikki Moore although generally Jamison can overpower Toine down low. But offensively, from a if Nachbar is starting standpoint, or even maybe Toine, it will mean that all five starters are players that are able to hit jumpers from 16 feet and beyond, and that would mean more space and a slight chance of Skippy emerging from his shell

Bench wise, our bench is definitely stronger than the Wizs, but in the last game, Roger Mason IV torched us in the first half, and i expect some kind of fiery performance from him again, he seems to have some kind of grudge against New Jersey (will have it checked out), Josh Boone will be the key on whether our bench outperforms the Wiz bench today.

GO NETS, win this game and built a 2 game lead over Orlando.
