Game 70 : New Jersey Nets – Orlando Magic preview March 24, 2007

New Jersey Nets 31-38
Charlotte Bobcats 26-44

After playing against teams in contention for a playoff spot, the Nets finally get a respite in the form of the Charlotte Bobcats, which is really a chance for us to get back into form, get an away win, take back the 7th spot from the Magic, get some groove going; that is, if we win the game.

This is probably the only game with the remainder of the season schedule that the team won’t face a frontline that has any imposing frontcourt players, with Emeka Okafor out, but still the Cats aren’t a team to be taken lightly, well, the nets aren’t that good of a team either, and Charlotte has already claimed some big scalps over other big teams this season.

Is Gerald Wallace a free agent at the end of this season?, and isn’t Vince Carter a player that interests the Cats? ooo, i sense something tingling there, but that’s another story for another day, Gerald Wallace has been on a tear lately, 21 and 7 in his last 19.

The Bobcats have a really unique (ok, read weird) starting rotation (to me), sometimes they go with Matt Carroll and Raymond Felton, sometimes Bernie Bickerstaff goes completely crazy and starts Derek Anderson and Jeff Mcinnis.

so, if Gerald Wallace is starting at PF, which means it’ll make it a tough assignment for Mikki Moore. We need this win alright!!, GO NETS!

Lines for the Game
Final Score : Nets by 7
VC projection : 33, 3 threes
Jason Kidd projection : 11, 10, 6
Jason Collins projection : 3 points, 5 rebounds
Matchup of the Game : Richard Jefferson – Gerald Wallace
