When was the last time you saw the team playing this good offensively? nothing much to praise about the defense; but the offense was well; off the charts. SO we did salvage something from the road trip and got ourselves on a LITTLE/MINOR 2 game run (whcih i hoped that i won;t jinxed it) to sit pretty as the 7th seed in the East; beating out the Knicks and Pacers on percentage points.

The GOOD
this win was big because first of all it’s another road win to make our away record look better than Charlotte’s; and once again it got us the 7th seed.

– if this game’s signs are to be trusted, RJ24 is back and is fully operational. I mean he was ballistic on the court, just like his old self, not the one earlier in the season, but the one last season. he was grabbing rebounds, getting floor burns; making clutch plays; it’s as if he’s playing Vince Carter’s share of defense.
– Jason Kidd finally broke out of his shooting funk by going 6-11 from the field, while VC had a solid and “Chuck” free game with 21. total team effort from the guys i must say.
– to have a game where to team breaks 100 is really a big plus
– 58% from the field and 55% from 3. WHITE HOT!
– another game, another solid game by our bench players, pouring in 31 points, Boki has really been our instant offense trigger and so is Eddie House; hitting 2 threes in short spans.
– By the Way, the 58% are a season high.
– Mikki Moore was solid once again; and had 14 and 8.
– if you’re wondering how the RJ/Boki combo are doing..well, 48 minutes, 38 points, 13-21 FGs, 4 threes. no wonder there’s no Hassan Adams in sight.
– i hopt this kind of offensive performance continues.
– Devin Brown 5 turnovers, ball handling suspect.

The BAD
– the Nets should have blown out New Orleans; but bad FT shooting, bad defense, getting ourselves outrebounded offsetted the marvellous shooting night from the guys and they had to slog it out in the end.
– what was Boki Nachbar thinking? up by four, you foul a guy to shoot three FTs with 1.9 secs on the clock? it really would have gone NOOCH’s team with the kind of offensive rebounders their team has, but RJ saved his ass big.
– this FT shooting is really puzzling me; RJ 7-12? we should have iced them off from the line; VC 3-6, 17-29, 589% atrocious.
– we were getting outrebounded by the Hornets frontline on the defensive end; that’s why there were still in it although we were red hot; D-Mase; Chandler and West combined to outnumber our offensive boards by 5.
– Chris Paul burned us with a near Jason Kidd like complete game; 25 points, 12 assists, 6 boards, 3 threes.
– DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE!!
