Game 65 : New Jersey Nets – Now Orleans/Okla City Hornets preview March 13, 2007

Posted by netsophobia in NBA previews, NBA talk, New Jersey Nets.

New Jersey Nets 29-35
New Orleans/Okla City Hornets 28-35

Jason Kidd says if we win this game, that could make it 2 road wins out of 6 and it’s salvaging the road trip. My say is we kick the Hornets’ arses , move on and put out any fire the Heat has with all the water supply in Atlantic City.

well back to the game, the Hornets are also on a five game skid; which is of course good news; but once again the thing about this Hornets team is they play hard every night unlike the Nets, which tends to switch off in certain games, or most of the games. And any team with Chris Paul in it is a dangerous team; i know he’s struggling lately but if there’s any PG that could kill us, it’s Chris Paul.

We won our last three away at the Hornets, but they have had our number twice this season including that 111-107 reverse at the Continental, which eclisped VC’s season high 46. Again this game is another where we will see our front court getting bullied, David West will once again be taking Jason Collins back to school, and no matter how good Mikki Moore is, he won’t be a match rebounding wise against the monster named Tyson Chandler.

Good things going for us is maybe Devin Brown as a probable starter; he’s good but he’s not that assured as a ball handler and also a suspect on defense, which probably makes him the weakest point of the Starting 5. another one’s maybe the Hornets’ poor rebounding performance of late. I think this is probably another win for us so we could SALVAGE this road-trip.

TAKE NOTE : Jason Collins will foul out guarding David West. remember. I SAID THAT

Key games tomorrow that could affect our team’s playoff position would be Indiana and Minnesota, Miami and Utah, i hate to put this here, but also the Sixers and Atlanta.

Lines for the Game
Final Score : Nets by 6
VC projection : 28, 3 threes
Jason Kidd projection : 8, 11, 12
Jason Collins projection : 3 points, 7 rebounds, 6 PFs
Matchup of the Game : Jason Kidd – Chris Paul

(edit : sorry for the lackluster posts of late, i assure you guys things will get better soon, oh btw Go Nets, we’re 9th and only half a game bhind those Knickerbockers.)
