CLEVELAND - MAY 8: Vince Carter #15 of the New Jersey Nets lays on the floor with an injury against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Semifinals during the 2007 NBA Playoffs on May 8, 2007 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. we’re down, but definitely not out!

1. You can’t really ask for much when your tallest dude at 7 feet, is averaging a massive 3 rpg in 2 games, and the fact that the Cavs are outrebounding teams in the postseason by 13.5.

2. Cleveland Cavaliers averaging 19.5 offensive boards per game. Rebounding for the Cavs against the Nets is like grabbing the basketball from a kid.

3. They have the most annoying player on any roster on any team in the world, Damon Jones, and probably the most one dimensional player on the planet, again, Damon Jones.

4. “When I think about it, I get the chills right now,” Brown said Wednesday of James’ icy stare with 5:39 left in Game 2. “It was, ‘Hey, quit coaching and just give me the ball.’ I had no choice. He’s our guy. When he gets that look, I’m going to roll with him. I’m going to hop on his shoulders and roll with him.” <–what the fuck??? So you’re the coach eh?

5. They are playing harder than us, but they are not neccesarily a better team than the Nets, they are a better rebounding team than us, that’s it.

6. Vince Carter made 17 shots in 2 games, but missing 32 in 2? I have no doubts that VC can get hot anytime anywhere, but a team who has Sasha Pavlovic on him? come on, give me a break.

7. Bench players are not stepping up at all, Bostjan Nachbar, our key bench player and our fourth offensive option, is averaging only 18 mpg, 10ppg, and 1 FT per game. Guys like Marcus Williams, who could make a difffrence in little spurts of the game, couldn’t even buy a minute.

8. The Nets are averaging 15 Turnovers per game, Jason Kidd had 8 in game 2, RJ had 5 in game 1, coupled with the fact that Cleveland averages only 12, and they took 29 shots more than us. amazing…

9. The Cavaliers averages 9 steals per game, the Nets? 4 steals per game, Cavs? more hustle, and they space the court better.

10. Free Throw shooting, Josh Boone was 1-6, and missed 9 Free Throws, which costs us game 2, by the way, the Cavs have HOMECOURT alright? so don’t panic, 2 home games in the CAA still to come ok?

I still can’t believe we lost Game 6….the Nets might have an outside chance to come back if VC catches fire like he did in Game 3/4 against the Raptors..

I like your site, and as a Cavs fan, look forward to reading more as the series goes on.
I absolutely agree with you on your point #4. We have no coach. Mike Brown lets the players do whatever they want.
New Jersey’s chance to beat us is to outcoach us!

If you’d like to see the reasons I feel the Cavs can beat the Nets, feel free to check out my site too:

Good luck, and Go Cavs!
